SGF scores APC Govt high in fight against corruption

The Secretary to Government of the Federation SGF, .Mr. Boss Mustapha has had advised the Secretaries to the State Government to key into Federal Government policies with a view to deliver dividends of democracy

He  scored the APC administration high in its fight against corruption in the country.

He said Stated that the campaign against corruption has been very successful and it is yielding a positive, noting that the fight is not yet over as corruption is already fighting  back .

Mustapha who gave this advice  that while speaking during the 6th quarterly meeting of All Progressive Congress( APC) Secretaries to the State Governments at Government House in Lokoja, Kogi State Capital.

Boss Mustapha who was represented by Hajia Dr. Habitat Muda-Lawal pointed out that Nigeria is facing a lot of challenges, say that Nigerian should strive hard to tackle the current  travails.

The SFG explained that APC led  administration has worked tremendously in the area food security ,stressing that following the dwindling fortune and fall in the international price of oil the Federal government has diversify economy through Agriculture as the country is currently Producing 4 billion  metric tons as against 25 million metric tons of rice .

In the area of Power, Mustapha  pointed out that the government has increased megawatts from 4000 to between 7000 to 7900 ,adding that though not enough as the government is working round to improve the power situation.

He stated that over 7 million School children are being fed on daily basis as food vendors were employed.

The SFG added that the Federal Government has continued to fight insurgency in the North East, cattle rustling and banditry.

He posited that the that the State Secretaries to the government In All Progressive Congress in their respective states to understand the manifestoes being the engine room of the government .

In a paper presented, Mr. George Ogboru said that there is need for critical assessment of governance in Nigeria ,adding that there also the challenges of implementation of politics in the country.

He noted that it is imperatives that all states must key into federal government policies with political will to execute the policies

The State Governor Alhaji Yahaya Bello  commended the organiser, Good Governance Forum for bringing the meeting to the state.

He advised the participants to to look into various challenges during the deliberations.

The Governor who was represented by his Deputy, Elder Simon Achuba stated that the insecurity in the North still pose a lot of challenges in the region.

The governor pointed out that before he came on board, the security situation was terribly bad,stressing that they left roads and started kidnapping from house.
