Several People were said to have been injured when a suicide bomber blew himself up outside an evangelist church in Gombe on Thursday.
There were no deaths recorded as the bomber was restrained from entering the church before he detonated the explosive.
According to Abubakar Yakubu, head of Nigerian Red Cross in Gombe said, “There was an explosion outside the ECWA church this morning. A suicide bomber who was restrained from getting into the church blew himself up,” said Abubakar Yakubu, who heads the Nigeria Red Cross in Gombe.
“Luckily no one was killed but some people were mildly injured,” he added.
Earlier on Wednesday, a suicide bomber was shot dead while attempting to enter a military barracks in Gombe.
