The now famous Inspector General of Police team led by its multi-decorated leader, Abba Kyari has killed one and arrested two of the kidnappers who abducted three British volunteer medical workers working in the Niger Delta region last month.
The gang abducted Dr. Ian Squire and two others on October 13, 2017 and killed him, while freeing the others, while fleeing away from security agents.
The Inspector General of Police Intelligence Response Team arrested two of the abductors in Warri, while they killed another one in a gun duel in neighbouring Sapele Town, while attempting to shoot his way out of the situation after being cornered by the security agents.
However, two police officers, identified as Sergeants Sanusi Lanre and Agunbiade Adebayo, were injured by the fleeing bandit.
The injured officers were said to have been treated and one of them underewent surgery on Thursday afternoon.
