Morocco Maduka to perform Live in London for Mother’s Day

Honours Anambra First Lady

It will be action galore in Tottenham, London, the United Kingdom when the African Euro-Hospitality Association, in collaboration with the Nigeria British Association, Igbo speaking communities in Europe, young Igbos and other socio-cultural groups, host the maiden edition of “Ubochi Nne’’ (Mother’s Day) next month.

Expected to be one of the biggest get-together for Igbo communities in Europe, particularly the United Kingdom, the event will hold on March 18 at the Green Leisure Centre, Tottenham, London.

Feelers from the organizers hinted that the special guests of honour  will be wife of Anambra State governor, Chief (Mrs) Ebelechukwu Obiano, Ambassadors to United Kingdom, Germany, France and other countries in Europe; while King of Igbo traditional music ‘’Egwu Ekpili,’’ Chief Morocco Maduka, Humble Smith and DJ Omo White and others will perform live at the event.

Eddie Isebor, one of the event’s organizers and a UK-based promoter, explained that Igbos in Europe want to use the occasion to celebrate and showcase the contribution of mothers in the society.

“The choice of Anambra State First Lady as the Special Guest of Honourwas based on the several achievements of the present administration, her encouragements and unalloyed moral support she has been giving to her husband, Governor Willie Obiano in piloting the affairs of the state.’’

He stated that the present dispensation under Governor Obiano‘s watch has recorded unprecedented achievements in all the sectors of the economy and urged the citizens of the state to give him a total support.
