As part of activities marking 2018 Press Week in the State , the Nigeria Union of Journalists, Kogi State Council has organised free medical treatment s for children and adults.
The Chairman of NUJ ,Kogi State Council, Comrade Adeiza Momonjimoh who disclosed this while briefing the newsmen in at NUJ Secretariat in Lokoja , stated that a lot of activities have been put in place for the Press Week .
Adeiza disclosed that the programme will commence with Jumat prayers on Friday and Sunday service at Freedom International , Adankolo New layout ,Lokoja on Sunday and road show follows on Wednesday.
The Chairman pointed out that the NUJ will offer free medical treatments for children from age of 0-15 years, while adults would be allowed to carry out various tests ranging from blood pressure , sugar level and so on.
The Minister for Labour and Productivity , Professor Stephen Ocheni as the distinguished Chairman of the Occasion , while the State Governor, Alhqji Yahaya Bello will be distinguish was Special guest of honour and Chief of Staff ,Chief Edward Onoja as special guest of honour.
The Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to President, Mr. Femi Adesina is expected to deliver a paper titled ‘”The Media and news reporting in an election year “.
While Dr. John Alabi who a management consultant/lecturer will deliver paper on “harnessing the inland waterways for economic prosperity”
