Liverpool’s Jurgen Klopp and Manchester City’s Pep Guardiola claimed the Football Writers Association managers of the year award at a ceremony Sunday (November 24) night in Manchester.

Klopp managed Liverpool to a UEFA Champions league title and a 97 point finish in the Premier League, just one point shy of Guardiola and champs Manchester City.

Spaniard Guardiola guided Man City to their historic domestic treble, winning the Premier League, FA Cup, and the Caraboa Cup in the 2018-19 season.

The 2019 Ballon d’Or winner will be revealed December 2 in Paris with Lionel Messi, Virgil van Dijk, and Christiano Ronaldo considered frontrunners from a group 30 finalists announced in October.
