A group, Arogbo Ijaw Youth Network (AIYN) has called on the Ondo State government to immortalize one of their late community leaders, High Chief (Dr.) Francis Ajih, whom they described as a peace lover and mentor for youths in Ijaw land.
He died in India after a brief illness and was brought to Nigeria yesterday.
The group made this call yesterday in Port Harcourt, Rivers State capital during a meeting with other Ondo youths in Port Harcourt to persuade them in participating in the burial of the late chief.
The National coordinator of the group, Comrade Fiyebo Eperetei said the sudden exit of Ajih is a monumental loss to Arogbo Kingdom in Ese – Odo Local Govt. Area, and the entire Ondo State.
“We are mourning the great man who has contributed to the development and empowerment of Ondo youths. He is a philanthropist, builder, discipline and God fearing man, therefore he deserves a state burial and to be immortalized”, Fiyebo said.
