Chief Priest Tony Eweka is a well known figure in his abode situated in Evbuotubu Quarter, Benin City, where he has been residing since 2006.
He disclosed with nostalgia that the parcel of land on which he built his edifice was given to him by the Benin Monarch, His Royal Majesty Omo N’Oba N’Edo Uku Akpolokpolo, Oba Erediuwa(of blessed memory).
Chief Priest Eweka stated that a lot of mysteries has been going on around the palace.
For instance, he revealed that a small water trough in the palace has been a kind of point of convergence where on a regular basis he gets letters(at the last count about 50 of such mystery letters have been received) giving him directives on things he should do and in some other instances bringing anointing oil, chaplets and other spiritual ornaments.
“We have experienced countless number of miracles. Such things as healing of terminal sickness; the barren being blessed with healthy children; cure for different kinds of illness and diseases; ancestral causes been broken etc are common place.”
He gave credit for all these to God and the ancestors who “through Ogievie – a sea god – have made all these miracles to manifest.
“Also we give thanks to His Royal Majesty, Omo N’Oba N’Edo, Ewuare 11, the Ogidigan, for his support and guidance.
“At the annual Ugie festival the main focus of the Ogievie is to pray for all mankind so that there can be peace, prosperity and long life.
“Nobody comes to the Ogievie with tears and leaves with tears. People come here from all parts of the world to receive healing or get blessed.
“In some instances, some former world leaders come here through the water trough. They appear as ornaments to hold sensitive talks with me on how to move the world forward.”
Chief Priest Eweka recalled how on four different occasions a mysterious rain fell on him only as he relaxes within his courtyard.
“I want the world to hear this. It has gone beyond human comprehension. Most times the messages and the spiritual ornaments are made manifest at odd hours and unannounced.”
