Arisekola-Alao’s Widow Dies


Many friends , relatives and well wishers of the late Deputy President of the Supreme Council of Islamic Affairs (SCIA) and Aare Musulumi of Yorubaland , Alhaji Abdul-Azeez Arisekola Alao were yesterday shocked at the news of the death of one of the wives of the late business mogul , Alhaja Jelilat who died in a motor accident on Wednesday .

The sad event occurred fifteen days after the demise of her husband .

Quite a number of people close to the Arisekola family were seen trooping to Oluwo Kekere Bashorun Ibadan home of the deceased on hearing of the tragedy that has befallen the family.

The members of the family , it was learnt yesterday were busy making last minute preparations for the 40th day Fidau to round off the burial rite for the great philanthropist,when  one of his wives identified as Jelilat, aged 63, was involved in an auto-crash which reportedly led to her death yesterday.

According to a family source , the woman would be buried according to Islamic rite at her Apata residence by 2pm yesterday.

It was gathered that the woman was on her to Ibadan when the vehicle rear tyre burst and skipped off the road , and ran into the bush before it finally berthed in a ditch  when coming from Ilorin in Kwara State.

After the accident, the woman was said to have been rushed to the hospital but died later due to shock she suffered from the accident.

Until her death, the deceased was dealing in textile materials.
