Nineteen killed, 60 injured in Abuja explosion


Nineteen people have been killed by this night’s explosion in Abuja.

Eleven others are critically injured in another bomb blast that rocked Area 1 Nyanya, in the Federal Capital Territory, the second time in two weeks.

No fewer than 75 were declared dead after the blast 17 days ago. More than 100 were injured

The blast, which bore the imprints of Boko Haram insurgents, went off around 8.20 pm, close to the spot of the April 14 blast..

The bomb was said to have exploded inside a taxi that was heading from Nyanya to the city centre.

The National Emergency Management agency confirmed the casualty figure. The police were yet to react.
