About two million worshippers are to attend the 2018 Reinhard Bonnke gospel crusade which is to hold in Calabar next year.
Addressing journalists in Calabar yesterday on the event, Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria PFN chairman Cross River State branch, Rev Dr. Lawrence Ekwok said that the Bonnke’s gospel crusade will involve all churches operating in Cross River State including independent churches and those in the various blocks under the Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN.
According to the Cross River State PFN helmsman, the German born evangelist, Reinhard Bonnke will visit Calabar, the capital of Cross River State in February with his successor, Evangelist Daniel Kolenda.
The PFN Chairman maintained that the Bonnke crusade will mark the third time that the German born clergy man at the crusade will minister to a congregation which has never been witnessed in Africa at the football pitch of the Cross University of Calabar CRUTECH.
“The event which for several decades was commonly known all over the world as Reinhard Bonnke Gospel Crusade is about the biggest gospel event ever in the African continent, bringing with it diverse and multiplied positive effects wherever and whenever it is staged.
“Apart from millions of people receiving salvation for their souls, healing for their bodies and several other miracles, the economy of the cities where the event take place usually experience tremendous improvement.
“The land itself experiences peace and the people are tremendously blessed due to the awesome power and presence of God brought about by the crusade”.Ewok maintained.
Another clergy who spoke about the Bonnke’s gospel crusade, Rev. Professor Aniefiok Akpabio, one of the executive members of CAN stressed that the crusade will be very significant because it will be the first time Reinhard Bonnke will minister alongside his successor, Daniel Kolenda and there will be a double auction blessing for the people.
The clergy men added that security will be beef up to ensure the safety of all worshippers who will attend the Christian mega event in February 15 to 18 next year.
The clergy men added that, the event will be hugely beneficial to the spiritual, economic and socio-political lives of the people.
